We found out recently (I lie, this was back in February), that we are pregnant! God-willing, our baby will be born in mid-November (there goes my birthday!).
On 09-25-2008 Sarah underwent the final routine ultrasound prior to labor. Thank God that everything looks good. Our baby looks like she has taken a head-down position and we pray that her birth will be boring, routine and uneventful. She was being her usual sassy, hard-to-get self and all we saw this time (aside from the medically relevant ones) was the bottoms of her feet!
As of 08-11-2008 the perinatalogist is almost certain that we are having a girl, and while Sarah has been feeling strong kicks for a couple of weeks now (the first nearly knocked her to the ground), it was only a couple of days ago that Sarah and I both got to feel her kick. Yes folks, I was feeling up Sarah's belly looking for kicks until I finally got one. There wasn't too much to see in today's ultrasound, except that in the process of confirming the sex of our child, she decided to put her foot in her mouth.
On 06-23-2008, Sarah underwent the anatomy ultrasound. The clinic is 80% certain the baby is a girl, one technician was willing to bet $100 on it. Anyway, the baby was being a bit of a prima donna and wasn't exactly cooperating with the scan. She did give us an encouraging gesture though.
Sarah's first trimester screening was on 04-29-2008. From what the doctors told us, all appears well. And as another treat, here are more pictures. I spy the beginnings of a Trittas nose.
Sarah underwent her first ultrasound on 04/03/2008. Here is what we saw:
This baby is already costing me... I had to actually go invest in a scanner! How dare I be dragged kicking and screaming into the late 20th century!
