Harper's Ferry, WV - January 2008 - Part 3

Old Town

The town of Harper's Ferry itself is an odd mix of historical sites, artsy shops, small cafes, caves, and tunnels. This was the first place I saw on the sides of buildings where other buildings used to be. You can tell by the unfinished outlines on the sides of the walls.

From the Outside Looking In

We snapped these photos on the railroad bridge near the tip where the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers meet.

See? A Cave!

I wasn't kidding when I said there were caves in the town itself.
