Nicolas Turns 1!

The best part about Nicolas' birthday mostly coinciding with a 3 day weekend is that he can always be reminded that school just started! Or, he can put up with daddy cramming in major projects during the rare 3-day weekends as possible. I was in the middle of replacing the icky disgusting carpet in our living room and hallway with hardwood flooring when we decided to break for cake!

Our dear friends Phong and Veronica got Nicolas the perfect gift. The best part about this Home Depot toy tool set is I don't have to share the real things with him. :)

The Party!

We had the party for Nicolas 2 weeks later at my mom's house. Sadly, most of the pictures seem to be on other peoples' cameras!

Toys With Legs and Fur That Move On Their Own!

Thanks to Nicolas, we never have to worry about the cats staying upstairs when we don't want them to be here. Makes me wonder why I put that hole in the door.

I really don't know what attracts Nicolas to hiding himself inside this old cabinet thingie that we have. Eva seems to get quite a kick out of closing the door on him.
