We were lucky enough to have a nice hotel to crash at when we arrived at Phoenix. As always, the day begins with a hunt for breakfast... and broadband...

Hey everyone! Let's thank Phong for paying for a T-Mobile Wi-Fi account :) |

Right across the street from Starbucks was a Quizno's. As I've never eaten from here before, I figured we should try it out... a little too sweet for me but it was certainly better than that Indian food that burned my throat last night. Anyway, it was time to explore downtown Phoenix!

Phoenix was full of enough crazy wackos to satisfy our quota for a trip. There was a Mexican version of the Willard Preacher on the street corner opposite Starbucks, along with a woman sitting next to us who was whistling and singing very oddly. Upon eating... we ventured out to Frys and then headed out to the desert.
We had wanted to go to the Tonto National Monument, however, we had to get to Flagstaff by sundown (we didn't make it, we'll find out how much fun setting up a tent for the first time in total darkness!). We did make it to the Canyon Lake Vista, however, with some nice images along the way.

After we left Phoenix, we headed north on I-17 to Sedona, a really pretty resort area just south of Phoenix. We had gotten there well after sunset and setting up a tent for the first time without light was quite... interesting. After we set everything up, we went to a Safeway and got some raw meat to cook over a fireplace.
