Day 6 - 09-15-2005

Day 6 was just us passing through southern Idaho and northern Nevada and then into central Kah-lee-foh-nya. There wasn't much to see in most of northern Nevada off of Interstate 80, but that isn't saying that it wasn't pretty...

It was at Yellowstone that we started experiencing "technical difficulties." My late, great Avertec 3150 laptop took one drop too many and croaked. Since we were using it to store the camera pictures, we figured we could just work around this problem by getting a new CompactFlash card for my camera. Boy did we strike out... 28 pictures into the 1GB card it ceased working! Thankfully though, none of these pictures were lost.

Nevada had some strange exit names off Interstate 80. There was Beverly Hills, and then there was this:

Who lives here, Darth Vader or Dr. Evil?

Not long past this point, my 2002 Honda Accord EX Special Edition hit a major milestone:

I drive waaaaaaaaaaay too much!

It was time for another pretty sunset. Thankfully this was not a freaky one like in Wyoming.

We were considering stopping in Reno, but it was waaaaaaaay too flashy for us to possibly get any sleep. We ended up continuing further west to Lake Tahoe, and as my head grew heavy and my sight grew dim, we had to stop for the night.
