We spent most of Day 7 in the San Francisco Bay area. We hung out with one of my cousins and had the best mashed potatoes ever. We were told it would take 4 hours to get to San Francisco from Lake Tahoe. It didn't take nearly that long as we were able to rush down Interstate 80 all the way to the Bay Bridge. Sarah tried her best to take some photos while we were on the bridge...

After we passed to the official western end of Interstate 80 at US 101, we exited the freeway and drove on some surface streets. We had no idea where we were going till we got to the Hearst Parking Garage where I was able to buy a map. We also had the best mashed potatoes and chicken while we were there. There's this restaurant called Roadhouse Pizza (yes, they have pizza too), which is located in the first floor of the Hearst Parking Garage and if you are near the area, you have to stop there for the mashed potatoes and chicken!
Before we met up with my cousin, we wanted to go see the crooked section of Lombard Street. It is times like these at which I am grateful to have spent the extra cash for an automatic transmission in my car.

It was at this point at which I was grateful that I sprung for the new front brakes in the car before we left for our trip.

I was glad that we could hang out with my cousin for awhile but we had to make our way south this time. Here are some parting shots of City Hall:

We met up with another friend of mine near Redwood City and had a nice dinner date. After that point we proceeded down the infamous CA 17 to Santa Cruz for the night.
