This day was spent taking the PCH (California Route 1) from Santa Cruz all the way south to Los Angeles. As with my previous cross country trip, this one ended at my uncle's house north of Upland. This was a beautiful drive and I would definitely like to take the route north towards Oregon someday.
This was the first stop that we decided to hit as we proceeded south from Santa Cruz. The above link provides an interesting story about how ships were once built out of concrete (and of course, now, why they are not).
